Massage Therapy
1. What are the benefits of Massage Therapy?
Massage therapy can help reduce muscle tension, alleviate pain, improve circulation, reduce stress, and promote relaxation. It can also improve flexibility and range of motion, and aid in the recovery from injuries.
2. What types of massage do you offer?
My style is deep tissue and Swedish based, integrating massage tools with the intention to dig into the muscle tissue that is afflicting you or causing restriction to allow for optimized movement.
3. How long does a session last?
30-minute session: Focuses on a specific area, such as the neck and shoulders or lower back.
60-minute session: A full-body or focused massage session with extra attention given to one or two areas of concern.
90-minute session: Allows for focused work on specific areas along with a full body approach.
120-minute session: Provides a comprehensive full-body massage with in-depth work on all afflicted body parts.
4. Does massage hurt?
While some deep tissue techniques can cause temporary discomfort, a good massage therapist will work within your pain tolerance. Communication is key, so don't hesitate to speak up if you feel any pain and feedback is encouraged
5. How often should I get a massage?
The frequency of massages depends on your individual needs. For general wellness, once a month may be sufficient. For chronic pain or injury recovery, more frequent sessions may be recommended.
Personal Training
1. What are the benefits of working with a personal trainer?
A personal trainer can provide expert guidance, motivation, and accountability. They can help you set realistic goals, create a safe and effective workout plan, and teach you proper form to prevent injuries.
2. What should I expect during my first session?
Your first session will incorporate a functional movement screen to get an assessment of your motions and potential restrictions in relation to your short and long term goals. From there, a comprehensive work out plan will be established to provide a realistic time frame and expectations for future sessions.
3. Do I need to be in good shape to hire a personal trainer?
No, personal trainers work with people of all fitness levels. They will tailor a program specifically to your needs and abilities, helping you progress at a safe and effective pace.
4. How often should I train with a personal trainer?
The frequency of your sessions depends on your goals and budget. Many people train with a personal trainer once or twice a week and do additional workouts on their own. Online programing also allows for dialogue to continue with your trainer as you progress and your goals change.
